Concert Outfit Ideas
The concert bug. We know it, we feel it, and we are so grateful to 2022 for re-sparking it because we never want to go without live music again! Since we still have quite a bit of catching up to do post-pandemic closures, and so many musicians are just as eager to perform as people are to watch, concerts + festivals are at the top of our bucket list for the new year. And let's not forget another *huge* component of going to shows: picking out what you're going to wear! Here are some of our best outfit ideas for any concert you plan on attending in 2023.
Rock On Leather
Rock out and rock on in a classic (faux) leather getup! While leather might be a more predictable choice for rock concerts, these unique pieces certainly aren't. They're the perfect combination of edgy and sexy, allowing you to fully jam out in style. And one of the best things about leather is that it's incredibly versatile-- sleek enough to be dressed up for more formal shows and yet casual enough to be toned down for heavy rock atmospheres. For example, you can pair the A Step Ahead Faux Leather Skirt with a simple graphic tee and combat boots for a more low-key vibe OR, instead, add a dressy blouse and suede boots for something more traditional. In terms of accessories, gold jewelry always looks great with leather, "so put another dime in the jukebox, baby," and let's get rock n' rollin'!
Shine & Dance through Sequin
You know what they say, "sparkles are a girl's best friend..." especially when we're talking about the pop music scene! These concerts are exciting, upbeat, and definitely the time to dance your heart out. So unleash your inner pop-princess with a sequin top and jeans, or go all-out with a fully sequined dress and be prepared to feel absolutely beautiful all night long. One tip for sparkles at a concert: they capture more attention than most other materials, so be ready to shine on amongst the stage lights and camera flashes!
Wild & Free
The terms "wild" and "free" aren't technically part of the definition for the word "festival," but they should be! Festivals are an adventure in themselves, and that's why flowy designs are exactly what you need. Since most festivals take place during spring or summer, these stunning floral/boho looks are everything your festival closet could want. Be sure to wear comfortable footwear (sandals, sneakers, or clogs) because you'll spend most days on your feet!
Pop of color type of party
Continuing the party after the concert is half the experience. Because, let's be honest: once the band leaves the stage, your heart is still pumping fast, and there's still so much excitement running through you. But whether it's backstage, at a VIP lounge, or hanging out at someone's house, you'll need a quick-change from what you wore earlier in the night. These silky pops of color are the pitch-perfect way to continue the fun!
