Royal Family Inspired Looks
It's been quite the month for the royal family as they mourn the passing of the beloved Queen Elizabeth II. Looking at the pictures of Her Majesty, the Queen, taken over the 70 years she reigned, we can see her evolution of generosity, poise, and grace, as she was influential not only to the United Kingdom and Commonwealth but to millions around the globe. Queen Elizabeth II and the other women in the Windsor family (Princess Diana, the Princess of Wales, Meghan Markle, etc.) have been leading the way as fashion icons for years, constantly setting new trends and inspiring the fashion industry with some of the most sophisticated, colorful looks. Here are some of our favorite royal family-inspired outfits we've created that look every bit as elegant but definitely don't require a royal budget.

The royal women love the pleated skirt trend because they’re modest, flowy, refined, and incredibly easy to pair with nearly any matching blouse of choice.
No matter which color or fabric you choose, these classic pieces are a staple in the monarchy closet.

The women of Windsor have never been shy in showing their love for color. Bold shades for church services are a norm in the British royal family and *always* a trusted styling trick, especially for the Queen herself. In fact, Queen Elizabeth II was called "the rainbow queen" for this exact reason! Over the years, we noticed the Queen's love for monochromatic outfits rub off on her granddaughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales, who's taken a similarly strong liking to the style...and we don't blame her!
From head to toe, monochromatic looks convey dignity, coordination, and a dash of fun, even though they may be one of the easiest trends to put together. Adding a hat to match is always the way to go!

If you want to look as elegant as the royal family, you need to get your hands on one of these button-down dresses ASAP! This is a Meghan Markle fave that can be worn more casually or dressed up depending on the occasion.
Almost always completed with a collar of distinction, these button-down beauties are a breath of fresh air during the busy lives of the royal family members. Whether long-sleeved or puff-sleeved, button-down dresses' elegance and simplicity are timeless.

Floral prints have always been popular amongst princesses...because why wouldn't you want to take the Windsor Castle Gardens with you wherever you go? Flower patterns were even a go-to for Princess Diana–a woman determined to make her own fashion rules, starting many of the elevated-casual 90's trends we still see today!
These romantic, vibrant prints are exactly what we dream about when we envision ourselves as part of the royal family. And don't worry, this level of delicacy is suitable for much more than only tea parties and horse races!

Lace is a crown jewel of the royal family wardrobe, particularly at parties.
While the royal family seems to favor more of the form-fitting lace designs, we're expanding on the trend by including some more flowy styles in the mix.

Our hearts go out to the Royal Family during their time of loss, and we know the Queen's memory and inspiration will live on in many ways, including her extraordinary sense of fashion.
